On Saturday 24th May 2008 EatOutVeganWales held a vegan fayre at Twyn Community Centre in Caerphilly. Vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters came from Caerphilly and surrounding areas to taste the wide range of free vegan treats available. Due to door to door leafleting in Caerphilly and surrounding villages in the two weeks leading up to fayre and further leafleting in town on the day, we had around 400 people attend. There was lots of vegan food on offer including pizzas, burgers, hot dogs, cheese, milk, chicken kebabs, meat slices, cake and chocolate. We also had information available on making that step towards veganism a lot easier. Here are a few pictures from the day.
