RECENT UPDATES TO THE GUIDE

This week we have a bunch of new places for Ynys Mon along with a few warning notices. Included are our first entries for  Holyhead, Llanfairpwll, Menai Bridge and Rhosneigr. Also included are new ones for Amlwch and Llangefni.

We've added some information about Thai Red and Green curries on the notes page, as the Mai Ploy brand sauce is used in a lot of places to make these curries and it contains shrimp. We didn't know about this so thought we should flag it up in case others didn't either.

A few entries have been deleted, as they've either closed or no longer serve vegan food. These are the Duckpool Cafe, Newport Take Away and  The Riverside Tavern (all in Maindee, Newport) as well as Herbs Restaurant in Bangor, Gwynedd.

New entries for Central Cardiff:  These are Celebrity Restaurant, Prezzo, The RBG Bar and Grill, Soho Coffee Company and Thai Edge. We've had to replace the Thai House entry with a warning notice though (thanks for the information Fran). Unfortunately Pulses in Pontcanna has also shut down. It is re-opening in July though so we'll review it again soon.

A few new entries for Cardiff: Cafe Rouge, Cosmo and Woods Bar & Brasserie in Cardiff Bay as well as Mulberry Street in Llandaff. Unfortunately iPhuKet in Cathays has closed though.

A few new entries for the Newport area: There are our first for Bassaleg and St Brides Wentloog as well as The Riverfront Cafe in central Newport and The Koh-I-Noor Tandoori in Maindee.

Milgi in Roath (Cardiff) is now 100% vegetarian, which is great!

Cafe Atma is a new entry for Cathays in Cardiff that we want to thank Dave for letting us know about. It is 100% vegetarian. Suitable dishes are labelled vegan and include cheesecake. Sounds good!

More Monmouthshire updates: This time we have lots of new entries for Tintern and Usk and the delivery service Chef in the Freezer has also been added.

A great new Cardiff entry is Frantastic Crepes which is a vegetarian stall at Riverside Market. Nearly everything is vegan, including four different types of burger.  Please support them if you can.

Quite a few Monmouthshire updates: There are our first entries for Raglan and in Chepstow there are Kaplan's, Lime Tree Cafe-Bar and Millers Arms. In Monmouth the new entries are The Boat Inn and Indian Summer. We also have The Tredegar Arms in Shirenewton

Two new entries for Powys. Thanks go to Tony for telling us about the The Golden Lion Hotel in Llandysilio and to Ann for providing us with some further information. This is where the Borders Vegetarian and Vegan group meet every month for a meal. Our other new entry is Dyfiview B&B in Machynlleth.

The entry for iPhuket in Cathays (Cardiff) has been updated. This excellent Thai only take-away has an extensive vegan menu listed on their website and the chef understands veganism very well. A great place for vegans.
